F.A.Q

Answers to the most frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your farm stay or donkey trek.

Is it necessary to know how to read an IGN map to go on a donkey trek?

To fully enjoy your donkey trek with complete peace of mind, it is advisable to know how to read an IGN map.

These detailed maps allow you to precisely follow marked trails, locate water points, elevation differences and wooded areas.

Even if we provide you with clear routes and suitable advice, mastering map reading remains a guarantee of safety and autonomy.

Are dogs allowed?

We welcome you and your faithful companion during your vacation on the farm.

Regarding donkey treks, some accommodations do not accept dogs, so it is imperative to let us know if you wish to be accompanied by a dog, so that we can offer you a suitable circuit.

Your dog must be docile : he must accept other animals: donkeys, cats, dogs, rabbits, pigs that he will meet in the different accommodations where you will stay.

It is imperative to plan a visit to your veterinarian before your stay because we have seen too many dogs finish the hike limping and exhausted! Don't overestimate your companion's abilities!
Get a prescription for a pad hardener that you will need to put on BEFORE the hike (you are definitely starting out with good hiking shoes!) and make sure to take something to soothe your dog who, like you, may have some aches and pains after the first day of hiking!

What if I have a problem during the hike?

If there is a problem with your donkey during the hike (health problem, hooves or lameness not detected at the start of the hike), the donkey will be replaced very quickly.

If you decide to stop the hike on your own without a valid reason, you can be repatriated on the basis of €1 per km (with a maximum of €80).
